About this tool

Emotional intelligence is that quiet skill of noticing your own feelings, keeping your cool, and reading a room — and it turns out to matter as much as raw smarts at work and in life. This quiz gives you a quick read on where you sit.

What it covers: five sides of EQ. Self-awareness (do you know what you're feeling?), self-regulation (can you pause before snapping?), motivation (do you push through?), empathy (do you pick up on others?), and social skills (can you steady a tense group?). Twenty-five statements, one rating each.

At the end you get a total and a bar for each dimension. The point isn't the number — it's spotting which muscle to stretch next. Low on empathy? That's a thing you can practice. High on motivation but shaky on regulation? Classic, and fixable.

Be honest with yourself. Rating "strongly agree" because it sounds good won't help — the only person who loses is you. And there's no pass mark; every band is just a starting place.

Privacy, short version: the whole thing runs in your browser. We never see your answers, we don't store them, and you can retake it whenever. The only thing we track is anonymous visit counts so we know the page works — details in our privacy policy.

Quick tip: answer how you usually are, not how you wish you were on a good day. The more real, the more useful the breakdown. Go on, find your number. 👋

📚 How to use

Frequently asked questions

Is this a real psychological assessment?

No. It's a self-reflection quiz built around the widely used five-branch EQ model. A formal assessment is done by a professional with validated instruments; use this one to notice your patterns.

What do the five dimensions mean?

Self-Awareness (reading your own emotions), Self-Regulation (managing them), Motivation (drive and initiative), Empathy (reading others), and Social Skills (working a room). Each bar shows how you rated that area.

Can I improve my score?

EQ is a set of learnable habits, not a fixed trait. The breakdown shows which dimension to focus on first — and retaking later is a nice way to see change.
