Frequently asked questions

Is my data uploaded to a server?

No. The QR code is generated entirely in your browser with a local library. Nothing you type or any logo you upload leaves your device.

Which content types are supported?

Plain text, URLs, phone numbers (tel:), SMS, email (with subject/body), WiFi credentials, vCard contact cards and geo coordinates — the same set of types offered by major QR services.

What error correction should I pick?

Higher levels (Q/H) keep the code scannable even if a logo covers part of it or the print is damaged, but produce a denser code. Use Medium or High when embedding a logo.

Can I put my own logo in the middle?

Yes. Upload any image (PNG/JPG) and it is drawn centered on the code. For best scanning, keep it under ~22% of the code size and use Medium/High error correction.

About this tool

Picture this: you're behind the counter, someone asks for your WiFi, and you really don't want to spell out CoffeeShop_2.4G one letter at a time. That's the exact moment this little tool is built for.

So what is it? A QR code maker. That's the whole pitch. You type something in — a link, a bit of text, a phone number, your WiFi, a contact card — and out pops a square your phone camera can read.

No install. No account. No "please sign up first, pretty please." Honestly, that last bit is the best part.

What can you actually do with it? Quite a lot. Change the colors, throw in a gradient, slap your logo in the middle, pick how tough the code is (that's error correction), then grab it as PNG or SVG. Want a green code on a pink background? Go wild — we're not your design teacher.

And once it's made — oh, the places it goes. Print it on a flyer. Stick it on a poster. Drop it in a slide. Send the picture over chat. The code is yours; use it wherever you like.

For a shop or a side hustle, this quietly saves real money. A cafe prints its own menu code instead of paying a designer. A marketer whips up a campaign code in a minute. An event host collects sign-ups with one scan link. Tiny tool, quiet win.

Worried about privacy? Fair question. Everything runs right in your browser, on your device. The stuff you type never leaves your machine, and we don't keep a copy. (We do run anonymous analytics so we know the tool isn't broken — the full story's in our privacy policy.)

Quick tip: adding a logo or printing on rough paper? Set error correction to High. The code stays scannable even when part of it gets covered or smudged. And don't cram a whole essay into one code — older cameras genuinely hate that.

Anyway. That's the gist. Have fun with it — enjoy the tool. 🎉
