About this tool

Roman numerals show up in places you'd never expect: movie copyright years, clock faces, chapter numbers, even tattoos. This converter goes both ways — type 2026 and get MMXXVI, or paste MMXXVI and get 2026 back. It follows the standard subtractive rules (IV, IX, XL, XC, CD, CM), so 4 is IV, not IIII.

How to use

Enter a number (1–3999) to see its Roman form, or type a Roman numeral to get the number. Both update as you type.
