❓ Frequently asked questions

Is my photo uploaded?

No. Cropping happens on your device with Canvas; the image never leaves your browser.

What output formats are supported?

PNG (keeps transparency) and JPEG. The crop is exported at the original pixel resolution.

Can I crop to an exact ratio?

Yes. Pick 1:1, 4:3, 16:9 or free, and the selection snaps to that ratio.

📚 How to use

Crop any photo to the exact frame you need for a profile picture, a banner or a social post.

Steps

  1. Open an image (click or drag it in).
  2. Drag the box, or resize from the corner handle.
  3. Optional: pick a preset ratio to lock the shape.
  4. Choose PNG/JPEG and Download crop.

About this tool

Most photos are wider or taller than the frame you actually need. A profile picture wants a square; a cover wants 16:9; a story wants 9:16.

This cropper lets you draw the exact rectangle you want and exports it at full resolution — no blurry upscaling, no lost detail.

Everything runs locally. The photo never touches a server, so it stays as private as the device you opened it on.

Tip: crop first, then compress, for the cleanest small file. Enjoy.
